Where do we start?
Our initial consultation will be a relaxed meeting where I learn about you and your partner, along with your vision for your ceremony. Once you have decided that you are ready to move forward with me as your Celebrant, I will send you and your partner a list of questions about yourselves and your relationship to help me get a better feel for the kind of ceremony that will represent you.
What next?
Piecing together the elements that we have talked about, I will begin to craft your ceremony. If you have not provided your own readings, I will find options that seem suited to the story of your relationship. I will research rituals, traditions and customs that resonate with you. I design the flow of the ceremony and craft the vows – unless you have decided to write the vows on your own. After writing the complete ceremony, including noting your choices of music selection, readings, and specific rituals, I present it to you for your review and to check for accuracy and detail.
If there are changes that you would like to make, we do so until it feels “just right” to you both.
Will we rehearse?
I will be available the day before the ceremony for a rehearsal, which generally takes two to three times as long as the final ceremony will be.
Finally!
On the day of your ceremony, I will arrive up to an hour ahead of time, as needed. And, of course, I will be there to officiate this amazing commitment you are making to one another!
If you are being legally wed, I will be responsible for submitting the documents to the state.
And the bonus prize is...
You will also receive a commemorative copy of your ceremony to keep.
