What IS a Celebrant?
A Celebrant is a professional ceremony officiant whose ceremonies are not restricted to any particular faith, and who will craft an incredible one-of-a-kind ceremony for you.
In choosing a Certified Celebrant to perform your ceremony, you know that you are working with someone who has studied the art of ceremonial writing, the history of ritual and the traditions of many different cultures, beliefs and religions. Certified Celebrants go through an extensive training program through the non-profit educational institution, The Celebrant Foundation and Institute. http://celebrantinstitute.org/
A Celebrant’s job is to honor the beliefs of our clients, and to collaborate with you to create a ceremony that speaks to who you are and what makes you, or your bond with your partner, unique. Each ceremony is custom written and no two are ever the same.
Celebrants are also adept at helping coordinate all aspects of your ceremony, and are able to act as “ceremony planner” the day of the event so you don’t have to worry about the details coming together.
Celebrants create ceremonies for people of all cultural backgrounds, and all genders. We strive to help people create ceremony that will speak to their experience living on this planet, whatever that may look like.
Celebrants officiate at virtually every life event, including weddings and commitments, funerals and memorials, baby namings, and blessings, adoptions, coming of age ceremonies, and well as other transitions in identity.
