What makes a Celebrant different
from other officiants?
Unlike a lot of other officiants, a Celebrant will not impose a “fill-in-the-blank,” cookie-cutter ceremony on you. I will work with you to make sure that every word in your ceremony is exactly how you want it.

What makes Quinn unique as an officiant?
First and foremost, I will be your ally and co-creator in making your ceremony exactly how you want it to be. While creating your custom written ceremony, I will be available for unlimited phone and email consult leading up to your beautiful event. Being an artist and activist, I will be part of what makes your ceremony personal, and speak to your identity.

What parts of the ceremony will you help with?
Every part! I will help you craft the ceremony you want, beginning to end, with as much, or as little input as you want. It is a collaborative process in which I can help you to choose rituals, readings, symbols and music to express your unique ideals.

What is a Complimentary Interview?
This is where we can meet and talk over your ideas about your ceremony. We see if we are a good fit for each other. I will also give you a firm price quote. Then you and your partner can go home, think it over in your own time and space, and call me back with a ‘Yes’ or a ‘No’.

Can we book you at the interview, or even over the phone?
Absolutely! Often we know right off the bat that we will all work well together, and a couple will book their date right then and there.
There are also couples, whose weddings are in the very near future, for example, who choose to book without the initial face to face interview. This is fine as well.

What are some ways we can personalize our ceremony?
Every element of your ceremony is ripe for your creativity, and there is no part that is “essential” except what you deem to be so.

Using more “traditional” Western ceremony structure, some elements we can begin to explore include:

    Prelude Music
    Attendants Processional
    Entrances of the Couple
    Welcome to Guests
    Introduction
    Thoughts on Commitment/ Marriage
    Reading or Music
    Your Intention - I Do's
    Wedding Vows
    Ring Ceremony
    Your Personal Marriage Ritual
    Signing of the Marriage Certificate/Agreement
    Pronouncing and Kiss
    Blessing
    Recessional
    Recessional Music

How long before the ceremony should we book Quinn?
As early as possible. Usually weekends book up first, as do the summer months. To make sure I am available for your ceremony, contact me as soon as you know your date.

How are payments made?
At the time we sign the contract, a deposit of $200 is due. The remainder will be paid two calendar months before your ceremony.

How long will the wedding ceremony take?
That's up to you. A range of 15- 30 minutes seems to suit many couples.

What happens at the rehearsal?
I will help you organize, coordinate and stage your ceremony. We will map it out so that everyone can be relaxed on the day of the event.

How long do rehearsals last?

Rehearsals often take more time than the actual wedding. We try not to take more that one hour for the rehearsal.

What time will Quinn arrive at our ceremony?

I will arrive 30 minutes - 1.5 hours before a ceremony, depending on the couple.

Does she travel?

For sure! I will be happy to officiate ceremonies from Seattle, down to Portland, even out to the coast. If your celebration will take place in a location other than that, let’s talk! I have traveled to California for a ceremony, and would love to know where you are planning to celebrate!
